We will leave Lisbon on September 22nd for the Greek capital with time to enjoy the end of the day in Athens and walk through the historic neighborhood of Plaka, which is known for its narrow and picturesque streets, charming shops and restaurants, a great opportunity to already try Greek food in one of the traditional restaurants and buy some souvenirs in one of the many local craft shops.
Early in the morning, we will leave for our tour passing by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, which is one of the largest temples in ancient Greece. We will then walk along Panathenaic Avenue, which is where the first Olympics of the modern era took place in 1896. Then we head to the Acropolis, the city's most famous tourist attraction and the symbol of ancient Greek civilization.
The Acropolis is a historic city located on a hill above Athens that attracts millions of visitors from all over the world every year. Considered one of the most famous landmarks in the world, the Greek Acropolis is home to centuries-old statues, renowned columns and ancient temples of worship. We will arrive early to have a calmer experience.
After exploring the Acropolis, free time if you want to visit the Acropolis Museum, which houses many of the sculptures and carvings that were found on the Acropolis. at 277 meters above sea level.
In the late afternoon, we head to the island of Agistri, a small island in the Saronic Gulf, located just a short ferry ride from Port Piraeus (Athens), and 10 minutes from the island of Aegina. The island has only four villages, the capital is called Megalochori and all the beaches surrounding the island have crystal clear waters.
Agistri, a hidden gem of the Aegean Sea! We will have 3 full days to do nothing and enjoy the holidays, or explore corners of the island and its picturesque villages, where time seems to have stood still.
Stroll through the narrow streets, lined with white houses with blue windows and colorful doors, and absorb the authenticity of Greek life. Then embark on a journey to discover the stunning beaches with crystal clear waters that surround the island. Be enchanted by the golden sand of Skala, dive into the refreshing waters of Aponissos and relax under the sun in the secluded Dragonera. For a truly memorable experience, take a boat trip around the island, exploring secret coves and sea caves. Be sure to savor delicious Greek cuisine in seaside tavernas, where fresh fish and traditional dishes await to satisfy your taste buds.
End your days watching the stunning sunset over the blue horizon of the Aegean Sea, leaving you with everlasting memories of this island paradise. Agistri awaits you for an authentic and unforgettable experience in Greece!
There are countless islands around, so we suggest a boat trip to the other islands such as: Poros, Hidra and Aegina.
Another full day at the beach to enjoy doing nothing without commitment or visiting the center with its peculiarities.
Return by ferry to Athens and the last chance to discover a little more of the Greek capital.
Free day for the last activities in Athens and, at an appropriate time, we will leave for the airport to board our flight to Lisbon.
